Lance Gravely, M.D.
Dr. Lance Gravely is a native of Southern California. He completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University graduating with a degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine graduating with honors. He completed his surgical internship and Neurosurgical Residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed an intra-residency fellowship in Surgical Neuro-oncology and Skull-base Surgery. Dr. Gravely is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, California Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Gravely is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is proficient in the treatment of the range of conditions affecting the brain and spine. Dr. Gravely’s treatment philosophy emphasizes exhausting non-operative and conservative treatment for conditions which may improve without surgery. However, if conservative management is unsuccessful, the best surgical options are considered and implemented. Every patient has different additional medical conditions, different responses to non-surgical therapy and different life situations; An operation for one person may not be optimal for another. Therefore , Dr. Gravely attempts to provide a clear understanding of the nature of the disease, operative options and to perform safe and effective surgery to achieve the best results for his patients.
