Yafa Minazad, D.O.
Dr. Yafa Minazad, is an adult epileptologist who received her B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her Doctorate of Osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California and did her internship at Downey Regional Medical Center, Downey, California. Dr. Minazad completed her Neurology Residency at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She finished an Epilepsy/Neurophysiology Fellowship with Huntington Memorial Hospital and Epilepsy and Brain Mapping Program in affiliation with University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Minazad is Board Certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and with the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. Her research interests are: Neurobehavioral Issues, cultural influences, and quality of life in patients with epilepsy, critical car neurology, and seizures in the ICU. Dr. Minazad in fluent in Persian, Hebrew and some Spanish.
